Civics and Government 101

King John of England stood up to the Pope.

Then the people stood up to King John.

They forced King John to sign the Magna Carta, establishing the right to petition (among others).

Advancement of the Christian religion and establishment of the principle of government by Consent.

The Colonists have had enough!! They threw the English tea into the harbor in protest of the Tea Act.

The patriots create committees to enforce a strict boycott of English goods and John Adams writes the Declaration and Resolves of the First Continental Congress

Thomas Jefferson writes the Declaration of Independence which established these principles:

• Our rights are endowed to us by our Creator
• Purpose of government is to protect our rights
• The people have a right to alter or abolish tyrannical government
• The people have a duty to alter or abolish tyrannical government

• After the French and Indian War, England began to tax the colonists to pay the war debt
• Intolerable Acts
• East India Tea Company monopoly
• Taxation without their consent
• Taxation without representation in Parliament
• Quartering of British troops in colonists' homes
• Closing of the Boston Port
• Dissolving of state legislatures
• Ignoring the patriots' petitions
• Sending mercenaries

About 10,000 people attended the Rally for the Republic 

"Fundamentally changed America."

• Nation-wide, hand-counted, paper ballot election was held by we the people
• 48 States sent delegates to St. Charles, Illinois from November 11th - November 21st in 2009
• Michael Badnarik chosen as President
• Dan Gonzalez chosen as Vice President
• Documented 15 violations of the Constitution
• Wrote specific instructions to all levels and all branches of government how to remedy the grievance
• Gave the people recommendations for peaceful civic actions to take to advance the cause of liberty in each of the top

Takes over the Republican Party but faces many deep state Republicans in Congress and his Administration.  Is impeached twice by a Democratic Congress, but not convicted by the Senate on either.

• Compliant people stayed at home
• Businesses closed
• Schools closed
• Mask mandates came down
• States of Emergency created Trickle down Tyranny
